DATE
These terms are an agreement between you and JMethod Apps LLC (“we”), the maker of DATE. By using DATE you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
DATE is a game that helps you decide how to spend a night. You and your date write your own ideas onto a card, and a dice roll plus a counting game eliminates options until one plan remains per category.
The dice exist for fun and fairness between your own ideas. DATE involves no wagering, no stakes, no prizes, and nothing of value to win or lose. It is not gambling.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use DATE on devices you own, for your own nights out. Don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or misuse the app.
What you put into DATE — names, photos, plans, memories — stays yours, and stays on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You're responsible for what you add: only add photos and details of people who are okay with it.
Date ideas, packs, and venue suggestions are offered for inspiration. Venues are independent businesses we don't operate or control — hours, prices, menus, and vibes change, so double-check before you go.
Sponsored suggestions are always marked with a ★. Curated packs name real places that may close, move, or change; that's part of why Curated Nights are single-use experiences with a shelf life.
- ▸All purchases are billed by your app store (Google Play or the App Store) under its terms; refunds follow the store's policies.
- ▸DATE+ is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews at the price you subscribed at until you cancel — at least 24 hours before the end of the current period — in your store's subscription settings.
- ▸As long as your subscription stays active, your price stays your price, even as the standard price rises for new members. Prices for new subscribers may change; changes never touch an active subscription.
- ▸Date packs are one-time purchases tied to your store account.
- ▸Curated Nights are single-use: each is consumed when you play it. The ticket and memories from that night stay saved.
One promise in writing: outcomes are never for sale. Sponsored and curated options enter the elimination with exactly the same odds as everything else on your card.
DATE is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will always be available or error-free, and we're not responsible for how your night goes — venue experiences, closures, prices, or a date that didn't deserve you.
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to DATE is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You can stop using DATE any time; deleting the app deletes your data. We may suspend or end access for misuse of these terms. Sections that by their nature survive — your content, disclaimers, liability limits — survive.
We may update these terms as DATE grows. We'll change the date above and note material changes in the app; continuing to use DATE after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States — where JMethod Apps LLC is organized — without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
